Luckee Dutch Bakery is not your typical bakery. And you may have noticed that our location is also not your usual place for a bakery. After all, our kitchen is located inside the convenience store of a fully operational gas station. Ordinary is not in our DNA. Extraordinary would fit our description better. We make everything from scratch right here.
What’s our story?
Well, Luckee Dutch is a family owned and operated bakery. Our lineage includes both Irish and Dutch heritage that inspired the bakery’s name. And to make sure you will remember us, we replaced the “y” with “ee” for that added spice.
We insist on using only the finest and freshest ingredients around. Whenever possible, we source local foods to support other local businesses. No preservatives or additives will ever be added to our recipes. When you bite into our delicious food, you will know that everything is made with love and of the highest quality.
So, who are we?
Marilynn and Casey
Meet the Van Grunsven family! Marilynn and Dave Van Grunsven, along with their children, Casey and Angela, formed Luckee Dutch in 2011 to bring homemade baked goods to your table for the love of great tasting food. (It’s really just an excuse to breathe in that remarkable aroma of fresh baked bread.)
At Luckee Dutch, we combined old fashioned baking with classical European-inspired techniques learned from Western Culinary Institute, a Le Cordon Bleu school, to build the best epicurean experience for our customers. We develop many brand new recipes in-house you won’t find anywhere else.
Why do we do this?
Because we like good, wholesome food. We believe that ingredients should be recognizable and not consist of chemical compounds developed for shelf life measured by the month. And we like to say our food is edible art. After all, we are fans of art.
